Postmates Launches Subscription Delivery Service to Rival Amazon Prime

Watch out, Mr. Bezos and Amazon Prime. There’s a new subscription delivery service in town. This week Postmates launched a Plus Unlimited subscription, an on-demand one-hour delivery service available in select U.S. markets to subscribers for $9.99 a month. For $9.99 per month, Postmates subscribers get free delivery on all orders over $30 from more than 3,000 Postmates Plus merchant partners. There are no service fees for restaurant or retail deliveries, sign-up on the Postmates iOS app is easy, and subscribers can cancel at any time.

Youth-oriented Fullscreen to Join a Crowded SVOD Marketplace in April

Next month another streaming video service, Fullscreen, joins an ever-crowded over-the-top (OTT) TV marketplace, reports Variety. Geared specifically toward 13-to-30 year olds, the new subscription video service will launch on April 26. “Our customers are saying, ‘I’m glad my dad has Netflix, but I want something for me,'” says Fullscreen CEO George Strompolos. For $4.99 a month, subscribers will get an ad-free experience and more than 800 hours of content, including movies, TV series and original content.…

Meredith Goes ‘All In’ With Revamp of Allrecipes Online and Off

Yesterday Meredith Corporation (NYSE: MDP) announced that Allrecipes magazine has undergone a revamp, which will debut with the April/May 2016 issue on newsstands now. Meredith said the revamped look includes a new logo, innovative layouts and enhanced editorial content and photography. Launched in 2013, Allrecipes magazine is published six times a year. Subscription Service KidPass Expands to Brooklyn and Manhattan

Two months after launching in New York City, children’s activity subscription service KidPass is expanding this week into Manhattan and Brooklyn. As we reported in January, the subscription startup was founded by three tech execs to give families affordable access to children’s activities via subscription.
