Killer Email Lists and SEO Tips

In a recent article on Business Insider, Justin Bariso of Inc. revealed a success secret from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Nadella started with Microsoft in 1992, and was promoted to the position of CEO in February 2014, replacing Steve Ballmer. Nadella told Business Insider that the best-selling book Mindset by Carol Dweck inspired him for the culture he is building at Microsoft. Th advice boils down to one sentence, says Bariso.

“Don’t be a know-it-all; be a learn-it all.”

Why? Because while a know-it-all may have more innate capability, the learn-it-all understands the value of constantly learning, improving, evolving and growing. Someone with a learn-it-all mentality also understands that mistakes aren’t failures, but are learning opportunities instead. This positive, forward-looking mindset and attitude influence the learn-it-all’s personal and professional lives.

3 Tips to Focus Your Online Marketing and Eliminate Subscription Churn

Five on Friday: Stellar Career Advice

In a recent post, Vindicia shared three tips for focusing your online marketing and reducing subscription churn, goals that we all share. As you develop and evaluate your online marketing strategies, consider the following:

  1. Email is a great way to improve customer retention. Using an opt-in system, you have the opportunity to reach customers and prospects who want to receive information from you. Leverage their interest in you by segmenting the list and marketing to each group according to its unique needs.
  2. Create a short video using social media tools like Facebook Live, Snapchat and Instagram Stories.
  3. Use social media as a customer support channel. This goes along with the idea of going to where your audience is. If your audience is already on Facebook or Twitter, consider adding a customer support option on one of those channels. By making it easy for customers to get help with your products and services, they are more likely to be satisfied which, in turn, reduces subscription churn.

Thanks, as always, for reading. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
