While conducting research for our previous Subscription Box Registration Page sample, the box companies we were researching required an email address to complete the registration process. Sure enough, when we didn’t end up buying anything, the companies we were researching swooped into action with emails attempting to convert us into customers.
Here are three that we liked for your inspiration! Over all, we like the visual look and clean approach all of these companies took. While a “box” company many be light-years different from your subscription business – try out and test some of these concepts. You may be surprised at your results.
Dollar Shave Club
This email is in the style of the website sign-up page, with the wooden image background. It contains:
- Large font title “WE GUARANTEE YOU’LL LOVE US”
- Call to action button to “Try the Club”
- Description of the service
- A large image of what the box looks like
- Ad copy that makes a personal appeal
- Another link to learn more
Graze
Like Dollar Shave Club, Graze kept its email true to its minimalist web design.
The email contains:
- A link right at the top offering a free graze box
- Copy explaining why the email was sent, in this case that we visited but did not buy
- An image of a typical box
- More copy explaining just how many tasty recipes the company offers
- A mention of the cancellation policy
- A large button to claim a free box
- A digital signature signing off the email
BarkBox
This subscription box company is all about the dogs. Their email approach shows that:
- Large title encourages you to “COMPLETE YOUR PUP’S ORDER”
- Large green button to “Get My Barkbox”
- Animated video of “Buddy” the dog frantically pawing at his Barkbox
- A note about free shipping on all 3, 6, and 12 month plans
- Copy answering the question: What’s In A Barkbox?
- A second large green button to “Get My Barkbox”
