The Daily Only Has 80,000 Paid Subscribers

Rupert Murdoch's iPad-only subscription newspaper The Daily has just 80,000 paid subscribers, a sixth of the the number needed to break even. Recently word came out that the daily Murdoch has an average of 120,000 readers per week, but there was no confirmation of the paid number.The Daily offers a free two-week trial. After two weeks, subscribers pay 99 cents per week or $39.99 a year to read the publication....
