The theme this week seems to be how to market real-world skills and events in a virtual environment. Just yesterday, we posted a case study on how one man translated his new business generation skills to create an online sales funnel with a subscription revenue base. And today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Krauss of Inventor’s Alliance (IA), who’s been able to create and sell an online newsletter to inventors that are members of IA’s real-world and virtual chapters.
Inventor’s Alliance helps independent inventors not only market their product, but get the right copyright and legal structures in place so that they can really make money off their ideas (perhaps he needs to start a similar organization for online content creators?). While he started out with local chapters in the West Coast region, he created a virtual chapter in 2004, where members can view past seminar videos. It’s a great way to re-purpose the material and expertise you accumulate through offline worlds for online revenues.
