The Guardian (UK) is launching its iPad edition for £9.99 or $15.52 per month, a rate 24 times the subscription rate of its iPhone app, which costs £4.99 ($7.75) per year everywhere bar except the U.S. where it is free.The iPad edition will be available for free for three months thanks to a sponsorship from Britain’s Channel 4. The above rate will kick in after 90 days. Those who are print subscribers to The Guardian will have free access to the iPad edition. Although the iPad edition will be a paid subscription product, it will still carry ads.
