LinkedIn can be a major source of Web traffic for your subscription site and it should be a key part of your social media strategy. Just last week, LinkedIn surpassed MySpace became the 2nd largest social network (33.9 million unique visitors) after Facebook. And all that inbound traffic can lead to plenty of outbound traffic, i.e. TechCrunch reported a few weeks back that LinkedIn is its biggest source of social media traffic. So how to get LinkedIn to send you traffic? Here are some tips:
- Everyone in your company should be posting links to worthy content, press releases, announcements in the status update section of their individual profiles.
- Add a LinkedIn Share button to allow users to share content from your site on their own LinkedIn profiles.
- Contact LinkedIn to see if you can get your content featured on the new LinkedInToday which aggregates content for professionals in various industries.
