Meta Launches Meta One With Paid Plans From $2.99 to $499
Sep 16, 2026Meta has launched Meta One, a new paid subscription service that combines features across its apps with more AI use. Separate plans add tools for creators and businesses.
Plans range from $2.99 a month for WhatsApp Plus to $499 for Meta One Max.
Some parts were already available. Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus and WhatsApp Plus launched earlier this year, while Meta had been testing AI and professional plans in selected markets. Meta One now brings those offerings into a broader lineup of paid plans.
Meta says Meta One has recorded 15 million subscriptions and trials to date. The company did not break out how many are paying subscribers, active subscriptions or trials.
- For consumers, WhatsApp Plus starts at $2.99 a month. Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus each cost $3.99.
- Meta One Core costs $7.99 and bundles all three app subscriptions at a discount compared with buying them separately. It also includes more use of Meta AI features, including image and video generation.
- Premium costs $19.99 a month and increases those AI allowances further.
Meta says everyday use of its apps and Meta AI will remain free, while the paid plans add features and capacity. They do not remove advertising.
More than half of subscribers in early testing used both AI and expression features, according to Meta. The company said tools such as Instagram Restyle and voice effects were among the reasons people subscribed.
Meta has not published one simple set of AI usage limits across the plans. Allowances can vary by account, product and location.
Creator and Business Plans Reach $499
For creators and businesses, the plans get more expensive and add business tools.
- Essential starts at $14.99 a month. It adds verification and impersonation protection. Businesses also get more access to Meta Business Agent.
- Advanced starts at $49.99 and adds publishing tools, clickable links in some posts and Reels, analytics and account access for team members without sharing passwords.
Higher tiers also provide something many businesses may value when there is a problem: access to a human. Meta’s Help Center says Advanced subscribers can chat with a human support agent once per month. Expert, which starts at $149, increases that access and allows callbacks. Max, starting at $499, includes human support as often as needed.
Some higher-tier benefits can also help subscribers reach more people. Meta lists improved search visibility and opportunities for additional exposure in Facebook Feed. Higher tiers include more access to Meta Business Agent as well. The exact limits are not always spelled out as clearly as the prices. Availability may vary. Meta says the plans are available globally, while its Help Center notes that some accounts may still not see them.
Meta plans to add more products to Meta One over time, including Edits and its AI glasses.
Insider Take
Meta One gives Meta several different reasons to ask a customer to pay. At the lower end, people can subscribe for personalization and app features. Higher plans add more AI use.
For creators and businesses, the offer moves into verification and publishing tools. Other plans add better account access, audience features or human support.
Meta can build all of that into paid plans while keeping the basic Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp experience free. Some benefits make the apps easier to use. Others can affect how easily a business reaches customers or gets help when something goes wrong.
The model gives different customers different reasons to pay, then adds more as the price rises.
