Disney+ Will Bring TikTok Creator Videos Into Its Verts Feed
Aug 05, 2026A U.S. pilot will add selected creator videos to Disney+ as the streamer expands its short-form mobile experience beyond clips from its own catalog.
Disney+ will bring selected TikTok creator videos into Verts, its vertical video feed for mobile users, under a new content-sharing agreement between Disney and TikTok.
The pilot will begin in the United States in the coming months. Disney and TikTok said they intend to bring it to other markets later. The companies did not provide a launch date.
Participating TikTok creators can choose to have their videos appear on both TikTok and Disney+. The content will feature characters and stories from Disney brands including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and FX.
TikTok will give creators access to assets connected to hundreds of Disney films and series. Disney said the videos appearing in Verts will be curated and refreshed regularly.
The companies did not disclose how many creators will participate, how videos will be selected or the financial terms of the agreement.
Disney+ Expands Verts Beyond Its Own Catalog
Disney+ launched Verts for U.S. mobile users in March. Subscribers can swipe through scenes from Disney movies and shows, add titles to a watchlist or begin watching the full program.
At launch, Disney said it planned to add creator content and other formats. The TikTok partnership is the first announced step in that expansion.
Disney has positioned Verts as a way to help subscribers discover content and make Disney+ part of their daily viewing habits. The company said early vertical video tests produced additional engagement, but it has not released viewing data or other results.
The agreement also includes a Disney Creator Ambassador Program run by Disney and TikTok. The program will provide participating creators with greater visibility, access to events and career development opportunities.
Short-Form Video Moves Further Into Streaming
Disney+ joins other streaming services experimenting with vertical video. Peacock has introduced a mobile feed and licensed short-form programs.
Short-form services are already competing with streamers for attention on mobile devices. Bringing TikTok videos into Disney+ gives Disney a way to take part in those viewing habits inside its own app.
Disney cited internal TikTok data showing that users shared an average of 6.5 million film- and television-related posts each day in 2025. Nearly half of viewers surveyed by Ipsos and TikTok said they went on to watch a movie or television show after discovering entertainment content on TikTok.
Insider Take
The TikTok agreement moves Verts beyond short clips from Disney’s catalog. Creator videos could keep the feed current by bringing fan conversations already happening on TikTok into Disney+.
It also shows how short-form mobile viewing is influencing established streaming services. Disney wants subscribers to open Disney+ between major releases, and Verts gives the company a steady supply of shorter content for those visits.
The question is whether those videos will lead subscribers into Disney’s longer programming. Disney has not shared targets for engagement, content discovery or viewing time.
