Apple Expands AppleCare One Subscription Beyond the US
Jul 27, 2026Apple is bringing its multi-device protection subscription to the UK, France, Germany and Australia, marking the first international expansion of AppleCare One.
The plan will become available in all four countries on August 4, a little more than one year after Apple launched it in the United States.
AppleCare One starts with coverage for up to three eligible Apple products under one monthly subscription. Customers can add more products for an additional monthly fee.
Pricing in the new markets will be:
-
UK: £16.99 per month, plus £4.99 for each additional product
-
France and Germany: €20.99 per month, plus €5.99 for each additional product
-
Australia: A$29.99 per month, plus A$8.99 for each additional product
In the United States, AppleCare One starts at $19.99 per month, with additional products priced at $5.99 each.
One Subscription Across a Customer’s Apple Products
AppleCare One includes accidental damage protection, battery service and priority support for covered products. Theft and loss protection applies to covered iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches.
Service fees, excess fees or deductibles apply to certain repairs and claims, depending on the market and product.
The subscription price is based on the number of products covered, rather than the specific devices selected. A customer can place an iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch under the same starting plan instead of maintaining separate AppleCare+ subscriptions.
Apple says a UK customer covering those three products could save as much as £11.48 per month compared with purchasing separate AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss plans. The actual savings will depend on the products and coverage the customer would otherwise choose.
Customers who already have AppleCare+ will be able to move eligible products into AppleCare One using an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
Apple Opens the Plan to Products Customers Already Own
AppleCare One also gives customers more time to enroll.
Most eligible products that are less than four years old can be added if they are in good condition. Headphones must be less than one year old. Apple may require a diagnostic check before approving a product, and each product must be associated with the customer’s Apple Account.
That creates a larger potential market than limiting enrollment to the period immediately following a purchase. AppleCare+ has generally required customers to purchase coverage within 60 days of buying a device.
Customers can also update the plan as they replace products. Apple says covered devices traded in through Apple can be removed from the plan and replaced with eligible new devices.
Products can be added or removed as the customer’s needs change.
Apple Expands Theft and Loss Coverage
Alongside the AppleCare One rollout, Apple is adding AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss as a single-device option for iPads and Apple Watches in the four new markets.
The single-device plans cover up to two theft or loss claims per covered device each year. AppleCare One covers up to three total theft or loss claims per year across covered iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches.
The Insider Take
AppleCare One bundles protection around the customer’s long-term relationship with Apple rather than a single product purchase.
Two choices make the model particularly interesting. Apple is opening enrollment to products customers may have owned for years, and it is allowing the subscription to change as devices are added, removed or replaced. That gives Apple more opportunities to build recurring revenue from its existing customer base.
It also keeps the subscription useful as the customer’s relationship with Apple changes. As households acquire more Apple products, the plan may become easier to justify and harder to replace with separate coverage.
For subscription businesses, that’s the idea worth watching: an offer designed to grow and change with the customer instead of remaining tied to the moment they first subscribed.
