Whats better than owning an adorable, cuddly critter from Build-A-Bear? Having an official Cubscription By Build-A-Bear delivered to your home every four months. Each shipment includes a brand new, 12-inch stuffed animal and six to eight custom, exclusive Build-A-Bear items not available in stores. Items include accessories for the furry friend, along with kids clothing, accessories and Build-A-Bear extras (notebooks, stationery, crafts, tumblers, posters, pens, etc.). Kids and cuddly critters might even get some “twinning” opportunities in their shipments – how fun is that!

Quarterly Cubscriptions are available for $29.99 each, plus $7 for flat rate shipping and handling. Subscribers who prefer to pay for a full year at once get a bonus box – a Birthday Box delivered in time for their 2020 birthday. Build-A-Bear is now accepting orders for the first box, which is themed for winter. It will be available in early December.

Cubscription Box is a totally new way to enjoy Build-A-Bear, says Build-A-Bear on their Cubscription website. Unbox a new furry friend every season with fun clothing, accessories and MORE.

As an officially licensee of Build-A-Bear and Build-A-Bear Workshop, CultureFly will fulfill orders for the new Cubscription. Shipments are season and will be shipped according to the following schedule:

– Winter: ships early December

– Spring: ships mid-April

– Summer: ships mid to late July

– Fall: ships mid to late October

– Birthday boxes: ship a month before birthday

Quarterly plans are billed prior to shipping. Annual plans are billed at once upon sign-up. The plans are set up for automatic renewal and the quarterly plans bill on the 10th of the month (March 10for spring, June 10 for summer, September 10 for fall and November 10 for winter).

There is no long-term commitment and subscribers can cancel online at any time by changing their status from active to inactive. If a subscriber cancels before the date they would be charged for the next box, the cancellation is effective immediately and they will not be charged for the upcoming shipment. If they cancel after the charge date, the cancellation is effective for subsequent boxes.

Insider Take:

This is a fun, new way to experience Build-A-Bear and a great way for parents to keep their little ones entertained – on a budget. For far away family, this Cubscription is also a great gift idea, a fun way to say hello to a niece or nephew, grandson or granddaughter with a well-respected brand. As we often say though, the key to this subscription box’s success is execution. We recently saw how Rent the Runway’s poor fulfillment is damaging their reputation and their relationships with their subscribers. Build-A-Bear needs to keep close tabs on their licensee and make sure that their customers are getting their money’s worth and a quality user experience for a good value.
