FTC Approves Amazon’s Acquisition of Whole Foods
This acquisition, Amazonís largest deal ever, is expected to close today.
Last Wednesday the Federal Trade Commission approved Amazonís acquisition of Whole Foods Market for $13.7 billion. According to The Seattle Times, the governmentís green light was anticipated. Whole Foods and Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) both have only a small slice of the nationís $750 billion grocery market. Also on Wednesday, Whole Foodsí shareholders, approved the deal.
