Microsoft’s Much Awaited Xbox Game Pass Will Launch on June 1

On Wednesday, Microsoft announced that its new Xbox One game subscription service Game Pass will launch in 31 markets on June 1. Xbox Live Gold subscribers received early access as of May 24. Subscribers will get unlimited downloads and play of more than 100 Xbox One and 360 backward compatible games, including Halo 5 Guardians, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, BioShock Infinite, Fable III and NBA 2K16, for $9.99 a month, following a 14-day free trial. Xbox will add new games to the catalog monthly.

OneGo, the Latest Air Travel Subscription Service, Takes Off

Start-up OneGo is the latest air travel subscription service to take off, reports PYMNTS.com. Officially launched on February 1, OneGo is a mobile booking app and subscription service that gives subscribers unlimited flights on major airlines for a monthly fee. UK Regulators Press Pause on Amazons $575M Investment in Deliveroo

One month after Amazon announced a $575 million investment in Deliveroo, a London-based food delivery service, regulators in the United Kingdom press pause on the transaction, forcing the companies to stop any forward progress. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) released an initial enforcement order effective June 24 stating it has reasonable grounds for suspecting that Amazon.com and Deliveroo will cease to be distinct entities if the transaction goes through. If the deal is completed, Amazon would be a minority owner of Deliveroo.

In this week's subscription headlines, EA is ready to launch its Origin Access Premiere Subscription, Kroger is starting a delivery service in four cities to compete with Amazon and Walmart, and Red Hat is exploring blockchain options. Also this week, Verizon offers safe WiFi, PayPal has 244 million customers, and nasty spyware infects 11 million.

StoryCloud Launches Legal Video Deposition Subscription Service

StoryCloud, a real time video and content deposition service, is using the subscription model to launch a new "all-you-can-eat" legal video deposition subscription service. With the StoryCloud platform, attorneys can record and live stream depositions, with high quality audio and video. The recordings are saved to the cloud, so the content is immediately available and can be accessed from anywhere.
